  • SDI Limited (SDI) is the publisher of this website.  SDI Limited’s Statement on Data Protection is set out in Section 1 below, which relates to data processing on this website.
  • SDI Germany GmbH (SDI Germany) and SDI Dental Innovations Limited (SDI Innovations) are wholly owned subsidiaries of SDI.  SDI Germany’s and SDI Innovation’s Statement on Data Protection is set out in Section 2 below, which relates to data processing by them in their businesses.

Data protection is an important issue at SDI. We process your personal data only in accordance with relevant legal requirements. We inform you in detail below about the processing of personal data on SDI’s website:

General Remarks 

If visiting our website your Internet Browser will automatically send information to SDI’s server. The following information will be temporarily stored and processed in a “logfile” until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP Address of the contacting computer
  • Date, time of access, name and URL of the requested data
  • Website from which access has been made (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and the operating system of your computer

The above mentioned data is processed at SDI for the following purposes:

  • To ensure a smooth connection and a comfortable use of, and visit to, our website
  • To evaluate security aspects, and
  • For administrative purposes

The processing of this data is lawful in accordance with Art.6 , sec. 1, 1st sentence, paragraph (f) of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Our legitimate interests are justified by the purposes listed above. We will never use this data to draw conclusions about your identity.

Our contact information is published under the “Contact Us” section of this website and, in the case of the German version of this website, the “Impressum” section of this website.  Our contact information may not be used by third parties for providing us with advertising or for other commercial issues, if not requested by SDI. We may take legal action against such unbidden advertising, such as spam mailings.

Use of the “Contact Us” section of our website 

Should you wish to contact us with any queries, you may use the “Contact Us” section of our website. For such contact, you must provide, among other things, your email address to let us know who is asking for information and to enable us to answer your questions. You may add additional personal data. Personal data provided to us in this way (e.g. name, address etc) is provided by your free will. We stress that any data transfer between us via the internet (such as by e-mail) may never be totally safe and a third party’s access to that data may never totally be excluded.  The processing of your personal data is lawful in accordance with Art 6, sec.1, 1st sentence, paragraph (a), GDPR due to the consent given by you when submitting the Contact Us request.

The data processed by SDI following your Contact Us inquiry will be periodically and permanently deleted by SDI, except where a business relationship results from such an inquiry.

 

Use of the “Subscribe” section of our website 

Should you wish to receive information regarding SDI’s new products, promotions, dental events, news etc, you may use the “Subscribe” section of our website.  To allow us to provide this information, you must provide, among other things, your email address. You may add additional personal data. Personal data provided to us in this way (e.g. name, address etc) is provided by your free will. We stress that any data transfer between us via the internet (such as by e-mail) may never be totally safe and a third party’s access to that data may never totally be excluded.

The processing of your personal data is lawful in accordance with Art 6, sec.1, 1st sentence, paragraph (a), GDPR due to the consent given by you when making this request via the “Subscribe” section of our website.

You may stop the receipt of this information at any time, by using the unsubscribe link within the emails you receive from SDI or by emailing us at any time via Germany@sdi.com.au .

Data transfer to third parties 

A transfer of your personal data to third parties will only take place:

  • If and in so far as you have given your consent
  • If the transfer is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by SDI or by a third party according to Art 6 sec. 1, 1st sentence, paragraph (f), GDPR, provided such interests are not overridden by your interests or by the fundamental rights that require protection of personal data

We use cookies on our website, which means that when visiting our website information is stored by SDI relating to, among other things, the computer and operating system you are using. This does not enable us to become aware of your identity.

Data protection is an important issue at SDI Germany and SDI Innovations. We process your personal data only in accordance with relevant legal requirements. We inform you in detail below about the processing of personal data at SDI Germany and SDI Innovations:

General Remarks

In connection with our businesses we only store or process the following personal data (the following comments don’t apply to the personal data we store or process about our employees for employment-related purposes):

  • The personal data of natural persons in a business or contractual relationship with us. In this case, we only store and process your personal data to fulfil our contractual obligations and to improve our relationship with you.
  • The personal data of employees in charge of undertakings and legal entities (for example, companies) with a business or contractual relationship with us. In this case, we only store and process your personal data to fulfil our contractual obligations and to improve our relationship with you.
  • If and in so far as you contact us or one of our employees. In this case, we will only store and process the personal data that you voluntarily provide to us.
  • If and in so far as a private email is addressed to you from an SDI email address. In this case, we are not able to avoid that, at the very least, your email address and any personal data provided during the communication being temporarily stored on an SDI Server. SDI will only store such data and will not process it in any way. Regarding the legitimate interests of our employees in using SDI’s email accounts, we are of the opinion that such storing without control or processing is not overridden by your interests and therefor lawful under Art. 6, sec.1 paragraph (f), GDPR, bearing in mind that most private addressees are aware of and would usually consent  to such storing, without further processing, when corresponding with a business e-mail address.

We will process all data that you – or any third party in connection with our contractual relationship with you –provide to us, but only to fulfil our contractual obligations and to improve our relationship with you, and we will always take account of, and obey, all legal requirements and provisions.

We will only transfer your personal data to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • If and in so far as you give your consent
  • If the transfer is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by SDI or by a third party according to Art 6 sec.1, 1st sentence, paragraph (f), GDPR and such interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights which require the protection of personal data;
